Yale Vice President Linda Lorimer Visits Egypt

October 25 - 26, 2010

On October 25 and 26, Vice President and Secretary Linda Koch Lorimer visited Cairo and Alexandria to deepen further Yale's ties to the Arab Middle East and to Egypt in particular.
In Cairo, Vice President Lorimer addressed Egypt's International Economic Forum, at the invitation of the organization's Chair, M. Shafik Gabr. Her address "Return on Investment: Preparing Leaders for the 21st Century" outlined technological trends which are shaping the ways we educate the next generation of leaders at the university level, with emphasis on the Middle East region. She also attended a reception with Yale alumni from Egypt and across the region and provided attendees with a University update.

In both cities, Vice President Lorimer met with Egyptian university leaders to discuss other areas of collaboration.
