ALL ABOUT GONZAGA LAW
Why Choose Gonzaga?
If you are considering law school, you have many great choices. Here are a few reasons we think Gonzaga makes a great choice.
Strong tradition: Our program is informed by our humanistic, Jesuit, Catholic values. We seek students who exemplify the spirit of public service these values represent. Learn more about our heritage here.
Welcoming university community: We are located on the campus of Gonzaga University, where you will enjoy such campus activities as theater, intramurals, and intercollegiate athletics.
Vibrant location: Spokane is a metropolitan area with a relaxed lifestyle. We enjoy a four-season climate, incredible opportunities for outdoor recreation and a wide array of cultural activities.
Engaged faculty: Our faculty are committed to your success. Accessible and dedicated, they are nationally recognized in such areas as public- interest law, health-care law, intellectual property, business law, environmental/natural resources law, sports/entertainment law, international law, and criminal law.
Student resources:
- Our Academic Resource Program provides students with resources that foster success;
- Our nationally recognized two-year Legal Research & Writing program;
- The professionals who staff our Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar and Career Services offices and our Library will go above and beyond your expectations.
Committed alumni: Our alumni serve -- and have served -- as federal judges, state supreme court justices, a governor, and a U.S. congressman. Finding an internship, clerkship, or employment opportunity is made easier by connecting with active alumni, who practice in every state.
Opportunities to serve: University Legal Assistance is a fully-functioning law firm within the School of Law. Each semester dozens of students help local people in need. We believe so strongly in public service that we expect every student to perform 30 clock hours of public service during their law-school career.
Student organizations: The learning continues outside of the classroom. You are encouraged to explore areas of law and service that interest you by participating in one of our many student organizations.
